Important Safety Information

Are there any reasons why I should not receive BioRevitalizing by
Malva injectable gel treatment?

Do not use this product if you have a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), multiple severe allergies, or if you are allergic to lidocaine or any components used in this product. Avoid using if you have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid-based fillers.
What warnings should my doctor advise me about?
One of the risks with dermal filler injections is the unintentional injection into a blood vessel. While the chances of this are very small, if it occurs, complications can be serious and permanent. Possible complications include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. Most of these complications are irreversible. If you experience changes in vision, signs of a stroke (e.g., difficulty speaking, numbness or weakness in the face, arms, or legs, trouble walking, drooping face, severe headache, dizziness, or confusion), skin blanching, or unusual pain during or shortly after treatment, tell your specialist immediately.
Treatment should be postponed if skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infections are present, as these may delay healing or worsen skin conditions.
The effectiveness of removal of any dermal filler has not been studied.

What precautions should my doctor advise me about?

Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to excessive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment. These factors may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection site.
Notify your doctor if you are taking any medication that may prolong bleeding (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, or blood thinners), as this could increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
If you are planning any laser treatments, chemical peels, or other procedures after BioRevitalizing by Malva, inform your doctor, as there is a potential risk of inflammatory reactions at the treatment site.
This product is intended for improving the smoothness of the skin on the cheeks. The safety and effectiveness for use in other areas of the body have not been established.
Notify your doctor if you are undergoing therapy to reduce the body's immune response, as this may increase the risk of infection.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell your doctor. The safety of use during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been studied.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of excessive scarring (e.g., thick, hard scars), as the safety of this product for patients with excessive scarring has not been studied and may lead to additional scarring.
Tell your specialist if you have a history of pigmentation disorders, as the use of this product in such patients has not been studied and may result in changes in pigmentation.

What are the possible side effects of treatment?

The most common side effects include redness, lumps/bumps, swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, firmness, discoloration, and itching. Most side effects resolve within 7 days. If symptoms persist longer, your physician may choose to treat them with medications like antibiotics, steroids, or hyaluronidase.
There have been reports of inflammation, nodules, unsatisfactory results, allergic reactions, anxiety, blood vessel blockage, infections, dry skin, changes in sensation, and abscesses.
Delayed-onset inflammation near the injection site is a known adverse event with dermal fillers. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
